Homeschoolers’ College Admissions Handbook by Cafi Cohen
Cohen, Cafi. Homeschoolers’ College Admissions Handbook: Preparing 12- to 18-Year Olds for Success in the College of Their Choice. Roseville, CA: Prima Publishing, 2000.
Homeschoolers and those interested in homeschooling have a lot of questions about college: Will homeschooled kids be able to get in? What do they do about a transcript? What about the SATs? The list goes on. This book gives specific information about the various ways homeschoolers can prepare themselves for the college admissions process. Cohen demystifies her topic through straightforward, practical advice and addresses a variety of homeschooling styles and philosophies. This book covers much the same material as Cohen’s And What About College? How Homeschooling Leads to Admissions to the Best Colleges and Universities, but Homeschoolers’ College Admissions Handbook is more recent and has a more user-friendly format. Larger libraries may want to consider investing in both titles.Explore posts in the same categories: Book Reviews, Curriculums and Other Homeschooling Resources
